In 2022 and 2023 I had the opportunity to photograph some of the best ballet dancers in the world. Ballet is often thought of as the pursuit of perfect. It is often photographed at the moment of peak action and technique, every detail frozen in time. By using longer than normal exposures I freed myself from traditional expectations. The resulting blur empowers the imagination of the viewer to complete the movements, thereby allowing the emotion of the scene to come through. The Emotion of Perfection.
